Horizontal gbr with titanium foils
Female 60 y.o. In good general health comes to our observation for marked horizontal bone atrophy of the maxilla. The patient with a mobile prosthesis for over twenty years has been asking for fixed prosthetic rehabilitation. It was decided to regenerate the crest of 1 mm of residual thickness with pre-shaped titanium foils on a 3D model obtained from the printing of the tac come beam. The foils were blocked with osteosynthesis screws and the resulting boxes filled with a mix of heterologous and autologous bone. The corners of the foils were rounded off and covered with further resorbable collagen membranes. The flaps were extensively passivated to obtain a closure by primary intention.
