Laser-assisted nonsurgical treatment for 14 endodontic-periodontic lesion

The patient is a 66 y/o female with hypertension and diabetes mellitus under control.There was an endo-perio combined lesion at 14 with root perforation at mesial side and grade III mobility which was suspected hopeless . After endodontic tx,nonsurgical periodontal treatment was performed with adjunctive use of Er,Cr:YSGG laser under the microscope.Reinfection control with aPDT every 3 months. Post tx 1.5 years,the radiographic bone density was improved with no mobility.
