Prosthodontic reconstruction of a patient with periodontal desease
39 year old patient came in our practice three years ago. She had finished her orthodontic treatment a year before. When she came her main complain was unstable tooth No 22. From the OPG, the obvious problem was loss of the bone around the tooth. We diagnosed Periodontitis chronica. The patient didn't accept my proposal to extract the teeth with bad prognosis because she had phobia of dental procedures. Two years later she realised that all front teeth are moving and that she has to do something because the situation is becoming more serious. We extracted all four incisors and teeth No 15, 37. They had third stage mobility with 3/4 bone loss. After 4 months we took control OPG. The bone level in critical region is higher and stable. We reconstructed the upper arch with all- ceramic zircon bridge from 16 to 26. The patient didn’t accept any surgical procedures for better results or reconstruction with implants and crowns.
