This case was supposed to be about short extraction or maybe PET ( partial extraction technique ). Probably it should be about extraction and socket preservation or immediate implantation. But.... becouse I am restorative guy :) after first step of Success Stairs sequence (GingiBurs gingivectomy to the bone level, initial preparation ) I decided to make a direct restoration. Why ? Becouse I could. With good isolation, when you have as much time as you need, you can notice new possibilities. I would never suspect that this tooth can be vital...but it turned out that it is. Do we need a ferrule effect for a direct restoration ? Does remaining enamel walls will be enough for a long term result ? Wil it need RCT soon ? (tooth was asimptomatic, and pulp after exposure stop bleeding after few seconds). I don't know but I belive it is worth to try. That was really great feeling when I finish this visit. Instead of showing the extracted root I was able to show new tooth to my patient. How long will it last ??? That is a question. P.s sorry for bad quality of photos but my ring flash broke. Cheers.
